Small fires are permitted in most RURAL areas of Muskoka as long as these rules are followed. There is NO DAYTIME BURNING permitted. Fires must take place between two hours before sunset and two hours after sunrise. Your fire must be no greater than two meters in diameter and only environmentaly friendly products may be burned. You must be with your fire at all times and have sufficient tools and water available to extinguish the fire if the need arises. Remember the smoke from your fire cannot interfere with your neighbours or the roadway. For more information on burning in your community, contact your local municipal office.
